Tanzania Itinerary

Pack your bags and get ready for your safari experience, visiting iconic parks including Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater. Travel in a 4x4 pop-up roof Land Cruiser with a maximum of 7 guests – all with window seats – and be guided by an experienced, English-speaking driver/guide.

Accommodation will be Clean and comfortable budget, mid range or luxury lodges or campsites based on your budget. 

 

Optional Add-ons: Hot air balloon ride, Maasai village visit (additional fee applies).​

Day 1

Arrive in Arusha 

Once you arrive at Kilimanjaro international airport your safari guide will be waiting to pick you up and take you to your first nights stay where you can unwind and prepare your first big day.

Day 2 

Tarangire national park

This morning will be an early morning departure from your accommodation and on our way to Tarangire nation .park (app 2-3 hours) Tarangire is known for its Elephant herds and Baobab trees. towards the end of the afternoon we will head to your next stay and check in.

Day 3

Lake Manyara

This morning after breakfast we will be heading off to Lake Manyara nation park. (approx 1.5 hours) exploring this national park known for its hippos, tree climbing Lions and vibrant bird life. we will pull up for a picnic by the lake shore and take in the views.

Day 4

Serengeti National park

this morning we will set off for the long drive to the wonderful Serengeti national park (approx 4-5 hours).while passing through the moutain tops  we will stop by the Ngorongoro nation park conservation area and take in the views. we will eventually pass through the gates of the Serengeti and enjoy a game drive through the park on the way over night stay in the heart of the Serengeti.

Day 5

Serengeti nation park 

Today you will wake up from your night under the stars in the Serengeti where with any luck you would have heard some animals in the night. once you've eaten breakfast you will set out on a full day exploring the national park or a hot air balloon ride for sunrise, the choice is yours!

Day 6

Ngorongoro crater

this morning will be an early morning departure from your accommodation and on our way to Tarangire nation .park (app 2-3 hours) Tarangire is known for its Elephant herds and Baobab trees. towards the end of the afternoon we will head to your next stay and check in.

Day 7

Back to Arusha!

Early morning start as we take off on a scenic drive through the mountains back to Arusha stopping at a local art gallery along the way where you can purchase hand paintings, wood sculptures and hand made jewellery. Your guide will take you to the airport and help you in the right direction.

Clothing:

  •  Lightweight, breathable clothing - Choose neutral colours like browns, greens, and tans to blend in.

  •  Long-sleeved shirts and long pants - For sun protection and to guard against insects.

  •  Shorts and t-shirts - For warm days.

  • Warm layers- A light jacket or sweater for cooler evenings and mornings.

  •  Comfortable closed-toe shoes - Sturdy walking shoes or boots, plus sandals for relaxation.

  • Hat - Wide-brimmed for sun protection.

  •  Sunglasses - UV protection is important.

  • Swimwear - If you plan to swim at your accommodation.

 

Gear and Accessories:

  •  Binoculars - For wildlife viewing.

  • Camera - With extra batteries and memory cards.

  •  Power bank - To keep devices charged.

  • 4. Daypack - For carrying essentials during outings.

  • 5. Water bottle - Reusable and durable.

 

Health and Safety:

  •  Insect repellent - To protect against mosquitoes.

  •  Sunscreen - High SPF is recommended.

  •  First-aid kit - Basic supplies, including any personal medications.

  •  Travel insurance information - Important for emergencies.

 

Toiletries and Miscellaneous:

  •  Personal toiletries - Toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.

  •  Wet wipes or hand sanitiser - For hygiene.

  •  Travel towel - Quick-dry is ideal.

  •  Snacks - Non-perishable items for long drives.
